โ€ŒPath Filtering

You can filter the Solved Path using the Filtering Control button on the Solver panel. Even small amounts of filtering can destroy a match, so some care and a light touch are needed. (Reference: Path Filtering Dialog in the SynthEyes User Manual.)

It's most commonly useful to filter only Distance, since that is the typically noisiest axis. Use the "To Solve Path" setting. Don't filter the Solved Path of child objects. (Don't filter the Seed Path of any GeoH object, that does nothing.)

You can animate the Frequency and Strength settings to apply varying amounts of filtering throughout the shot. You can filter the whole shot or just the playback range between the small green and red markers on the time bar.

The filtering is applied to the object listed as the Active Tracker Host, so be sure to configure that before clicking Apply Filter Now.

You'll need to retrack any child objects after filtering. You should be sure to lock the object you just filtered.
