โWindows Setup
Windows controls for speech are located in the Ease of Access portion of the Control Panel, in the Advanced speech options and Text to Speech sections. See "Set up microphone" and spend a few minutes to "Train your computer to better understand you".
You can pre-select whether Synthia listens (does speech recognition) immediately on startup with the Listen by default preference in the Synthia section of SynthEyes's preferences. Listening is off by default.
Similarly you can control whether Synthia talks using the Enable speech by default preference. Talking is on by default.
