‌When Is the Texture Saved?

Extracted textures are saved as part of the process of extracting them. However, they are also re-saved when you change either of the following controls:

 the texture orientation drop-down,

 the channel-depth drop-down,

 the file compression setting,

or of course, when you click the Save button on the texture control panel.

When you are painting an alpha channel or creating one with the alpha spinners, you will need to save the affected texture manually when you are done painting on it (unless you re-extract it or change one of the format controls listed above).
